Acrydur TC01 Product Data Sheet

Acrydur TC01 is a solvent-free, low viscosity, Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) clear resin top coat for Acrydur flooring systems, typically installed in dry areas. It is ideal for top coating decorative colored flakes and quartz surfaces. Acrydur TC01 can be pigmented or combined with Acrydur TC02 for a colored finish.

Recommended Use

• As a clear top coat for Acrydur flooring systems, including colored flake and quartz, in dry areas.
• Note: Do not use over very elastic systems such as Acrydur ME04.

Application Details

• Recommended Application Methods: Roller, brush, and squeegee
• Application Temperature Range: -10°C to +35°C
• Hardening Time (at 20°C): 30 minutes or once the surface has lost tackiness
• Pot Life: Approximately 12 minutes after mixing
• Coverage Rate (Theoretical): Typically 0.4-0.5 kg/m²
• System Thickness (Recommended): 0.3 - 0.45 mm

Surface Preparation

New Concrete Floors

• Clean, sound, dry, fully cured concrete with surface laitance removed by vacuum enclosed shot blasting or mechanical grinding.
• Minimum strength: 25N/mm².

Existing Concrete Floors

• Remove dirt, oil, grease, old paint, or other contaminants using shot blasting, scarifying, or mechanical grinding.
• Clean residues of detergents with water.

Existing Floors (Previously Coated)

• Remove all old coatings and loose floor paints using mechanical preparation.
• If the old coating cannot be removed, consult with the technical team for advice on compatibility.

Priming and Mixing

• Priming: Acrydur PR01, PR02, or PR03 are used for priming substrates before applying Acrydur TC01. Refer to datasheets for specific substrates.

• Mixing: Add 1-5% hardening powder depending on temperature (refer to the mixing table below).

• Pigmentation: For pigmentation, typically 10% of Acrydur Pigment Powder is added. Mix with the same amount of resin first before adding the rest of the resin and then the hardening powder.

Application

• Apply Acrydur TC01 evenly using roller, brush, or squeegee. If using a squeegee, roll with a paint roller afterward to avoid puddles.
• The application should be consistent to prevent any ponding and ensure an even surface finish.
